Ultramarine 42.1 is here to fix a couple bugs in Taidan, and we have a few fun announcements for you!
Heya! This is a small announcement about a small update, focused on fixing various bugs in Taidan, our out of box experience:
- Multimedia codecs would be installed as individual packages, instead of through the entire multimedia composition group, which could cause weird DNF issues when performing a system-upgrade. Additionally, this could cause the installed codecs to drift from what is specified in the multimedia group.
- Some labels would stay in English, even if another language was specified.
- In certain cases, the OOBE would start again on next boot, even though it was already completed.
- If left idle, a lockscreen would appear, which would be impossible to unlock.
- No longer runs

Well, actually three!

Second, we dropped some new merch on the Fyra Shop. My personal favorites are the posters of our (lovely) wallpapers. Right now we have the fan-favorite "Foresty Skies" from Ultramarine 40 (light and dark), and "Viewpoints" (light, dark, alternate dark) from Ultramarine 41. We put up new designs and products all the time, so keep an eye out!
We also have some buttons of our logos and Mizuki!
Third, we have officially started production of our first hardware product! The SuzyQ Board is an open-source board that lets you access closed case debugging (CCD) on Chromebook devices. It's useful for unbricking, figuring out what's wrong, playing with custom firmware, or just probing around. If you're interested, you can reserve a board, free of charge. This is part of a larger effort with the Cabochon and Chrultrabook Projects to make using Chromebook hardware as easy as possible.
