Fyra Labs is joining the Open Gaming Collective (OGC) as a founding member. The OGC is an organization bringing together the best of Linux gaming; like our Fedora friends at Nobara & Universal Blue, and other big names in Linux gaming like ChimeraOS, ShadowBlip, and Playtron. With more members to be announced soon!
OGC will maintain components shared by the gaming distros, like input tooling, Mesa, Gamescope, and a custom kernel. These components will be available in Terra for Bazzite and the wider Fedora ecosystem to use.
While we don't focus on gaming in Ultramarine, many of the improvements for gamers also serve to make the experience better for regular users. We've gotten really positive feedback on the CachyOS kernel tweak, and will be launching a OGC kernel tweak in the near future. We're hoping to switch to it by default in an upcoming release.
