Infinitely improbable things happened this week...
Last time I went reference heavy in one of these (5/4/25) I got some emails and messages saying that, put bluntly, they didn't understand what the hell I was on about.
This post might be worse. I'm going to make jokes that will sound like conspiracy theories, and I really really don't want someone to see this and think Fyra Labs believes we live in a simulation. So, to be clear, if it sounds insane, blame Douglas Adams, and if he's dead or something, blame Owen.
"The most massively useful thing an interstellar hitchhiker can have..."
The classic guidance would be a towel, but we'd argue it's Ultramarine Linux, which released upgrades to 42 this week!

In image news, Mado worked on Taidan, most notably adding the option to use RPMs instead of Flatpaks.
"What do you get if you multiply six by nine?"
It's well known by this point that Earth is actually a supercomputer, so I guess that if Earth=42 and the question we were asking was 6*9, and Terra means Earth, that means Terra=42 as well.
Mado worked on improving SRPMs in Terra.
Owen added the Vercel Geist fonts to Terra, we use these pretty heavily and think they look nice.
“Who is this god person anyway?”
If you've ever worked on firmware, you'll understand why that title fits.
Elly and Tree began working on U-Boot for ARM Chromebooks.

This is a long road, but exciting things are ahead!
“Space, is big. Really big."
Nova added support for a virtual cursor to Stardust, making mice work across the ecosystem. Great for trying out Stardust!
“For a moment, nothing happened. Then, after a second or so, nothing continued to happen.”
This would normally be called "I Took a Walk"
Phene unbricked her alarm clock.

Tree got pmOS running on a RG36s, um when.

Willow moved to Colorado.

June, Jaiden, and Owen held a garage sale (and released Ultramarine 42 during it).
“So long, and thanks for all the fish.”
Finally, it fits.
That's all for this week! As I say every time: sorry to everyone I missed, and let's have another great week!
